Lessons and Classes
I accept students ages 4 and up. All ages and levels will benefit from individualized teaching, group classes, and recitals. Beginning students of any age are encouraged to observe at least 1 lesson prior to starting their own private lessons. Students with some playing experience are encouraged to bring current repertoire and technical studies. More advanced students will have the opportunity for chamber collaboration.
We are in the midst of a very strange time for teaching/learning. Virtual lessons/classes call for a lot of adapting on the part of the student as well as the teacher. Because group classes are so challenging at the moment, I am offering a new opportunity for students to be matched up as pen pals and/or mentors.
As virtual pen pals, students can quiz each other on reviews or note names, perform their newly polished pieces, or commiserate over tricky etudes.
Mentors will be asked to help with practice spots or technical issues, as well as giving encouragement and a fresh perspective.
My hope is that this will help our studio maintain the close feeling of community, even while we are distanced.
